Co-chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Laos, the event served as an important forum aimed at fostering trade cooperation, improving policy mechanisms, and creating more favorable conditions for commercial activities between the two countries.
The conference was attended by Lao Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce Chanthanoun Soukaloun; Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyễn Sinh Nhật Tân; Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyễn Hồng Diên, along with representatives from the embassies of both countries, leaders of Quang Ninh Province, and representatives of regulatory agencies and departments from Vietnam–Laos border provinces. Within the framework of the program, the Ministry of Industry and Trade reviewed the outcomes of bilateral cooperation in recent years and proposed various solutions to further develop border trade. These include upgrading border-gate infrastructure, strengthening logistics connectivity, improving the business environment, and promoting digital transformation in border trade management. Both sides agreed to continue creating the most favorable conditions for enterprises of the two countries to expand import–export activities, aiming to foster stable and sustainable growth in Vietnam–Laos trade turnover
As a Vietnamese consumer paper manufacturer, Caboo was proud to participate in the conference as a representative of the private business sector actively seeking to expand its presence in the region. The event provided Caboo with valuable access to key information on border trade policies, economic development trends in Laos, as well as future support directions from regulatory agencies of both countries for enterprises.
Caboo’s participation in this national-level conference not only strengthened the company’s market insights but also laid the foundation for developing strategies aligned with regional integration directions. This milestone further reflects Caboo’s proactive spirit in bringing Vietnamese paper products closer to international markets.
